This 記事 attempts to distinguish what sorts of 質問 should be 投稿されました with the different "question" features on Fanpop, and was last edited on 31 March 2009.
Now that ファンポップ has added another "Ooh! Ooh! I get to ask a question!" feature, the 質問 "What is the difference between all these features?" is even もっと見る appropriate than ever before. One can ask a 質問 in a Forum, in a Quiz, in a Pick, または in an Answer (Request). Which one should be used for a 与えられた question?
In summary
To be brief:
* A club's Forum is the best place to ask a 質問 that has a single correct answer which あなた don't know, such as "Who created this spot?"
* A Pick is for 質問 that do not have an objectively correct answer: 回答 based on opinions または feelings. "Who should win this contest?" または "Which of these do あなた like best?" are perfect examples of 質問 for a pick.
* A Quiz is for 質問 that have a single correct answer which あなた do know, such as "Who is the person in this picture I've provided?"
* An Answer Request is for a 質問 that has multiple correct answers, または a single answer sufficiently involved that it can be provided in multiple different ways. "How does one bake snickerdoodles?" is an example of a good request for Answers.
Answers
The 回答 feature is a knowledgebase. It is a mechanism for users to share their wisdom with one another on different processes. 与えられた that there can be multiple correct 回答 to any particular 質問 - supported によって the fact that users vote for the best correct answer - the expectation is that 回答 may be varied, of some length, and reflect different approaches to the question. They are particularly well-suited towards process questions, therefore, and NOT AT ALL suited to 質問 that have a single, one-word correct answer. Thus, good Answer Requests often start with the 質問 words "How" または "Why" rather than "Who" "What" "When" "Where" または "Which". For instance, "How do あなた identify the species of a particular tree?" is a good Answer Request - there are many different but equally correct 回答 to such a question, while "Who wrote that book about intelligent dolphins joining humans in the galactic community of space-faring races?" is a lame Answer Request, as there is only one answer: David Brin. If there's only one correct answer, and that answer will not vary among the users who answer that question, there's no point in having multiple people attempt to answer the question, nor any point in voting for the best answer.
Picks
Picks are a way of gauging the opinions of the users, rather than their knowledge. Pretty much any opinion-based 質問 is appropriate as a pick, and not appropriate as an Answer Request または クイズ question. Picks usually incorporate any of the 質問 words with words that require a value judgment, such as "feel", "prefer", "want", "choose", "like", "best", et cetera. "Who is your お気に入り Friend?" is a great pick 質問 (which may be why we've seen it so many times).
Quizzes
クイズ are a way of testing how carefully users pay attention to the information available on Fanpop. One asks a 質問 which answer is readily available via a link, video, フォーラ post または other content on または linked from Fanpop. The 回答 should be facts または statements made on the site, rather than feelings, and 質問 whose 回答 cannot be discovered on the site are inappropriate. クイズ 質問 should always be answerable によって users who are paying attention in that particular club. 質問 such as "Who was the first user to post 500 画像 on the site?" and "What was my childhood nickname?" are completely bogus クイズ 質問 unless that information has been 投稿されました somewhere in that club in a forum, link, video, article, または even another クイズ question, which could be read によって anyone in that club. Thus, ファンポップ chat is not a good 情報源 for クイズ 質問 (as it would require that the user be participating at a set time in order to know the answer to a question).
Fora
The フォーラ for a 与えられた club is a place to discuss and convey information about the club's topic. As such, any type of 質問 may be asked here. But since there are specific features to ask trivia questions, opinions and process questions, those would be better asked as part of Quizzes, Picks and Answers, respectively. I say this in particular because there is no way to 検索 the フォーラ in a club faster than scrolling through every page of comments, so specific 質問 and their 回答 get quickly and easily lost. Not only is that inconvenient, but it also results in many, many repetitions of the same 質問 being asked over and over again. Don't do it! Always 検索 to see if someone else 投稿されました a similar 質問 before you, and if they have, don't duplicate it. If no one has asked the same (or a sufficiently similar) question, go ahead, knock yourself out and post your question. Doubtless there will be many users delighted to get a non-repeat 質問 to answer, and あなた may even get リスペクト for it.
Still, it is better to ask 質問 with short, one- または two-word 回答 in the フォーラ than elsewhere. While the fora aren't searchable, Answer Requests aren't searchable, either, and so a club's フォーラ has a marked advantage for 質問 where there can または will be little variety in the short answer: they can be found もっと見る easily than in a similarly long 一覧 of Answer Requests (because もっと見る フォーラ threads are listed on a page), and such 質問 don't then clutter up the 一覧 of Answer Requests (thus making it もっと見る likely that people searching for an answer to a particular 質問 will find it).
A final note on the forum: while specific, single-answer 質問 such as "How big is the banner for a club?" are best asked in a club's forum, chances are very high that someone has asked that 質問 before you...many times. While it is true that あなた can't 検索 for フォーラ posts または threads, あなた can do two quick things before posting such a question:
1) Check the first page of フォーラ threads to see if any of the threads are likely to address your question. For our example, the "General Questions" thread in the ファンポップ club is almost certain to have answered that 質問 already.
2) Though fora can't be accessed through the 検索 feature at present, after nearly three years of ファンポップ there's a clear pattern: if enough people ask the same freakin' 質問 over and over again, someone will get fed up enough to write an 記事 explaining the answer, in the vain hope of cutting off any further repeats of the same question. Thus, if あなた have a 質問 that has a short and/or single answer, search for articles that may already answer your question.

This topic may already exist as a soapbox but I have to say that things on certain spots seem to being rated one 星, つ星 CONSTANTLY. People have complained in フォーラム on もっと見る than one occasion, no ファン would rate something one 星, つ星 if they liked the subject the spot was dedicated to, has anyone else noticed this on any spots?
It happens on the One 木, ツリー 丘, ヒル spot, and others related to it, I'm sure that someone else is really annoyed about this!! It is really childish! Sometimes it is pages of content all rated one 星, つ星 and somehow I feel convincedthat it is NOT a coincidence!!!
Can あなた please comment!
