How do あなた tag someone in your status?

It used to be that あなた had to type the "at sign" (@) followed によって the person's name in a status update window, and then フェイスブック would present あなた a 一覧 of フレンズ from your フレンズ 一覧 as a pull-down. You'd then select the name あなた wanted and it would appear in your status update as a hyperlink to that user's プロフィール (and tag).

This week, however, フェイスブック launched a new version of the tagging feature, so that it attempts to recognize when あなた are typing a friend's name WITHOUT entering the @ first. So now you'll get that drop-down menu of フレンズ when you're typing. This makes it much easier to add タグ to your status update, whether あなた want to add a tag または not.
