What is Esme's story?

Esme was born in 1895 and lived in Columbus, Ohio. Her full name was Esme Anne Platt Evenson Cullen.

At the age of 16 she was treated によって Dr. Cullen (Carlisle) after she broke her leg from falling out of a 木, ツリー that she was climbing. She never got over the experience of seeing his face- and she was utterly in love. But it was Dr. Cullen's last week in the town and he soon left. After this encounter Esme never really wanted to marry, but she was pressured によって her father and ended up marrying an old family friend. But he abused her. During the First World War he was called to fight, but shortly after his return Esme found out that she was pregnant. She just couldn't bring herself to bring up a child in a house where it too might be abused so she ran away, she lived with her 秒 cousin, in Milwaukee, and taught in a school there. But when her son died few days after he was born, she just couldn't cope anymore and jumped off a cliff.
She was brought to the town hospital but because she was presumed dead, they didn't even take her to the emergency room and placed her in the morgue. Dr. Carlisle Cullen heard her beating ハート, 心 and remembered her; the happy sixteen 年 old girl. He didn't want her to die and so decided to change her into a vampire like himself. Esme didn't even seem upset when she was told that she had been 'changed', she was just happy to have the one person who she knew could make her life livable.

She was the 秒 person Carlisle had changed beside Edward. Consequently, Carlisle and Esme fell in 愛 and were married soon after.
