I think it's a bruise from his doge-ball incident. when he first mentioned the incident he freaked out and grabbed his hat. listen to the reactions: jeez louise cool ahh! my eyes! does it hurt double d? yep, an embarrassing bruise...

First I heard it was a huge scar, which is healed によって now, but Edd is still embarassed, so he hides it under his so-called ''hat''. Then I heard it's because he has curly blond hair and is embarassed about that as well, and that only Ed and Eddy knows his VERY well kept secret...
he probably has hair judging によって his brother, I'd say that he's blonde EDD HAS BLONDE HAIR unlike all the other guys in the 表示する who only have 3 hairs (exept for rolph)

I think he's obsessive-compulsive and that he fixates on what his hair looks like, believing that it's abnormally greasy-looking, when it's actually not that unusual at all. It would be just like him, since we already know he obsesses over everything being clean and 'looking a certain way' and also that he's insecure about his appearance. I bet when his hat came off in the 表示する Ed and Eddy couldn't even figure out what the big deal was, because there isn't one. That's just my theory.

well in some episodes his hat comes off and Eddy is all like "are あなた trying to blind me?" so it must be somethign strange...I do agree though Double D would do something like that.
hmmmmm well I know he should have a 愛 letter from may kanker from the valentines 日 episode, though, I think he probably is either bald, または has a really weird hairdo.
God I don't even begin to think about what could be under there. xD Hmm, I really don't know, but I think maybe it's just a bad hair cut... at least that's what I hope. Remember he pulled out a bobby pin from his hat so maybe that's some indication?

if ask me i think he has braids....if あなた look at the back of his head you'll see clearly that he does not have blonde hair. Ontop of that my friend saw the last episode and 発言しました he takes off his hat on that episode and he didn't have blonde hair.
-an exposed brain (very [and least] unlikely) -a scar (2nd most likely) -a dented head (unlikely) -he needed stitches (most likely do to his fragile body and the fact that it is gives out a great reaction)

My best guess is probably gonna have to be this, because it has もっと見る proof then any other theory, and of course the pic of LunchRoom Rumble is non-canon(it wasn't made によって AKA Cartoon studios.)
Well, I always pictured him with blond hair. I'm guessing that maybe he has a scar across his hairline, または something to that effect. Ed has asked him "Does it hurt?" and has also コメントしました on it being "Cool." Seems like something he would say about a scar. Eddy 発言しました "Geez louise" and screamed "My eyes!" when Double D took off his hat. It sounds like a scar to me.
I don't think that the アニメーション on the Lunchroom Rumble game is correct. I don't get why Eddy would yell "MY EYES!" just because Double D has braids. または why Ed would ask if it hurts.
I doubt the dodgeball incident has anything to do with it, because I think there's an episode that shows him as a baby, still wearing the sock-hat. So, I'm just gonna go with the "blonde curly hair" theory. Also, for the people who think his hair is black, it could be true. But, all the characters' hair would be black によって that theory, as everyone's hair color is "black"; Just hair strands. ^^;; Sorry about the long post...

Eep! Mistake.. All characters except the females, that is, are just strands of hair..
Well the the three hairs of the back of that hat could mean that's his hair then thin strips of hair so he could have relatively thin hair which is common for the Ed's as is seems because Ed seems to have a number of little hairs on his head and Eddy has three different sized hairs on his head so it could be something similar to their hair butt Double D chooses to hide it under a hat.
I think those three lines of hair grow into his eyeballs. Essentially, his eyelashes turn into his hair. That would be sufficiently weird and satisfy Ed and Eddy's gross-out reactions and the "does it hurt" thing.
I believe he has a large birthmark on his head. The very idea that he has super long hair is ridiculous! または another theory is that he has trichotillomania. It is a disorder, look it up. Many people with it will be extremely ashamed and go to great lengths to hide what they did, such as wearing a hat. Remember how he got really angry in that episode where eddy got a huge zit on his head. To quote him, "in all my years, I have never seen such deplorable behavior over one's elevation of the skin!"
We May never know. i think he could be bald または maybe hiding something like has a brain under it we don't know and i wish they showed in the movie but guess what THEY CENSORED IT!!!!!!!! but all we know is he got it from a dodgeball incident.
I'm a 年 late but I think that he has strips of his hair missing. あなた know in that episode when he rips bandaids off the other ed's heads? It seems way to violent for him, if either of them had hair it would be ripped out, would it not? I wonder where he got the idea from. May I point out the fact that edds parents are conveniently absent. Just a thought.
So this is just a silly little joke between me and my フレンズ so dont take it seriously haha. So basically he has a mouth on the back of his head (like how Futakuchi-Onna has one on the back of her head) I even did a lil doodle
