Like Ariel and Belle before her, Jasmine gets 5 dolls each. And like Belle, 2/5 are based on the live-action version. Pretty much every princess after this only has 1 or 2 dolls (until we reach Elsa and Anna who each have the most) so the rounds will be very short after we complete Jasmine.

I think the live-action dolls are a major improvement for Jasmine compared to Cinderella and Belle where the dolls looked cheap or plain ugly. Live-action Jasmine's face actually looks pretty here.

My least favorite doll is the original 2015 Disney Store doll. I don't like when they put Jasmine in colors she never wore in the movie like dark teal. Her outfit is light blue, not green or teal let alone a dark teal. I appreciate her having a skirt over her pants to give the doll more to work with, but it's not as well done as it is in her other 2015 dolls which follow a similar pattern. Her face is super shiny which makes it look oily, like she desperately needs to powder her nose. Her hairline is really huge here, almost making her look like an alien, and part of the issue is that her ponytail should really start at her shoulders, not above that where her head attaches to her neck. I think even just looking strictly at the 3 animated dolls, this is easily the inferior one.

I think the color and face could have been better.

Why is her body so oily? A pity because the details are beautiful, and i think Jasmine could rock a dark teal color :-)

I don't like glorifying slavery and sexualizing her.

I love the color, but she never wore it and she looks weird here.

The others aren't bad, but I don't love them either. Not sure if I have a favorite from these yet.

@asteriamalfoy, how many dolls have Mulan and Rapunzel got? I thought Mulan would have around 3 because of the live-action (like Alice), and I thought Rapunzel was significantly more popular than any princess in the period between Jasmine and Anna/Elsa.

Mulan has 2 dolls. For the longest time, Disney never made any dolls for her or Pocahontas. Then finally in 2018, they went ahead and made a doll for each of them. Last year, Mulan got one doll for the live-action remake.

Yes, Rapunzel is the most popular princess since Jasmine and before the Frozen sisters. She has 3 dolls total, so she's the only princess before we get to the Frozen sisters to have more than 2 dolls. I'm actually surprised she doesn't have more. She has her original doll, her Tangled Ever After wedding doll, and they finally came out with her third doll last year for her 10th anniversary (although her fans absolutely despised the design).

I think the reason Rapunzel doesn't have as many dolls as the first six princesses or the Frozen sisters is because Disney tends to release these dolls based on re-releases or new releases. The first six princesses come from classic movies that get live-action remakes or get re-released in the Diamond/Signature Editions on home video. Frozen was its own franchise with multiple movies and shorts so each time there was a new entry to the series, Elsa and Anna got more dolls, plus they were popular enough to get multiple dolls for each movie.

Rapunzel is the only princess besides the classic six and the Frozen sisters though to feature a limited doll based on a supporting character, since Gothel has a doll as well. (Alice isn't a princess so not sure if she counts but the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter also got dolls. Hatter was based off the live-action version though). The classic six all have their princes and villains portrayed and Kristoff also has a doll (they never made a Hans one). I don't think it's implausible to one day see a doll for Flynn Rider though. Especially since the classic six princesses all got very exclusive platinum sets featuring them with their princes, so maybe one day Rapunzel will get one like that with Flynn.
