Round 11: Belle
Round 12: Tiana
Round 13: Elsa

Pity, Belle left so early. I think she should have survived another couple rounds. She always wanted to talk to her father about his inventions and how town people felt about her. She wanted to talk about her interest with town people, and of course she could talk about her loss of freedom and family to wardrobe and Mrs. Potts. She could also talk to beast later on about her love of books and read stories together. She had plenty to engage people with.

Mulan is not an initiator of conversation, not even an active participant. She sure has intelligent points to add when asked or actually when insisted upon. Even when everyone joins in during "A girl worth fighting for", she only shares her opinions when asked by her fellowmates. She couldn't express herself to her father and Shang. She has difficulty engaging with people and would rather be alone than among a group.

wavesurf picked Merida:
Merida spends most of the movie huffing, puffing, screaming, yelling, and cursing her mother out. Only when her mother is starting to lose her MIND because of Merida, does Merida start speaking kindly to her. I fail to see how that's a person who is a great conservationalist.

Merida is one of the best storyteller among all of DP, that speaks volumes about her conversational skill. Also, not to mention to quiet down an angry crowd with her speech.

wavesurf picked Merida:
Merida actually screamed at them, "SHUT IT!" so she could begin talking. The men were rude, and Merida was rude back at them. Just because Merida told one story does not automatically make her a great storyteller.

she told 2 stories - one of her drinking from FireFalls and one of the legend to the clans.

wavesurf picked Merida:
Yes, but the first was only directed at her dad and brothers, and she actually cut into her dad's retelling of his fight with Mor'du. She actually robbed the "thunder" out of her dad's retelling. As for the legend of the clans story, as I said, if you have to yell at people to get their attention and be rude when they are being rude to you, you aren't any different than they are.

I liked Flynn's engaging story to Rapunzel, and he has a better knack for telling stories than Merida does. But that's my observation.

Same reasons as before, no interest in what others are saying or starting any conversation she doesn't get something out of personally.

I also think it was a shame about Belle as she did talk to her father a lot and when she got into the castle, she seemed to have tons of conversations with Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Chip, etc. She kind of made friends with them all immediately because she was open to conversation. Furthermore, she kept trying to start conversation with people in her town but they rejected her because they were too busy working. She did seem to have lots of conversations with the librarian/book keeper though.
