Not really the feminism part, but I guess this. "The flower that blooms in adversity" is a nice moral and all, but I don't really see how it applies to Mulan's story.

I don't think the message of Mulan is "anyone can be a hero." I think the message of Mulan is, "don't let people define who you are."
