They met, he likes her for her looks, they had a half assed conversation and neither knew the other's identity, and wed the next day.

Good GOSH does this couple annoy me. You all know me and you know I'm usually pretty positive, I love all the princesses, love all the singing voices, soundtracks, think they're all very pretty, ect. but the one thing I can't stand is this relationship. Pocahontas and John speak to each other, learn about one another, hang out with each other. Sure their relationship isn't "deep" per say, but hanging out with someone is a great way to get to know them. Although the whole sequel and sad ending, if we/re basing this clearly off the relationship they have in the movie, I think they're more plausible than "Ohh, he's the first man I've seen up close!" and "Oh her singing voice is wonderful!" What if Eric hears a better singer? What if Ariel sees a handsomer man?

Honestly I find it quite obvious that their relationship is flimsy. Ariel loved Eric because he was the first woman she ever saw up close..what if she sees a better looking man? Eric loved Ariel for her voice. What if he hears a prettier voice?

Same reason I said last time. They got to know just as little of one another as Poca and John, and they spent less time together, as well as what dclairmont said about them finding other people.

For some reason.. I wouldn't mind if Ariel and Eric went out this round though.

They should have left first.

I was deciding between this couple, and Cinderella and Charming, and I decided that since we have no idea what Cinderella and Charming spoke about, or for how long.

Ariel claimed to be in love with Eric after seeing him play to flute on a ship. Eric wanted to marry her just because of her voice. He probably wouldn't have been willing to spend time with her the next day if she didn't make him laugh so much, and it was her ignorance and awkwardness that made him laugh anyway, not her actual personality.

They just dance, and he doesn't even remember her face the next day...
