Mello. Near wouldn't have won if it wasn't for Mello. I mean MELLO DIED so that Near could win against Kira. Near is an emotionless and cold hearted person. I mean, he pratically orders Gevanni, Linder and the others arond like robots. What annoys me most is that Near is pratically the only main character that survies at the end. What's so good about Near anyway? (It's not like I hate him, it's just I really don't get why so many people like Near more than Mello.)

Mello and Near both, they're so different and yet brilliant. I wished they would have eventually both become L's successors, because together they were L's equal.

I really like them both. both are intelligent. and together, they will surpass L.
but,since they are both lack of something..
just what Near said.. that he is lack of dynamics while Mello is lack of composition..
I prefer to like Near more, because making plans before taking actions is so like L
