u guys DO kno that the name is SUPPOSE 2 b either a letter(s) または the OPPOSITE of how they act, right? Nate is very far from humanity, so he was named Near. Mihael is very loud and aggressive, so he was named Mello...

Not necessarly. I don't see how that could get Mail Jeevas the name 'Matt'. And if you've read Another Note, it explains that the reason that Beyond Birthday chose that for is name is BECAUSE he can see life spans through his Shinigami eyes, and is known as 'B' for similar reasons.
