I don't care what the SE または DB ファン say about Damon. He did the right thing for Elena. She had to shut her humanity off so that she wouldn't feel anymore pain. Julie Plec confirmed that this new dark and depressed Vampire Elena is only gonna remain like that for 2 episodes. As usual, Damon will bring back her humanity.
