What should I do?

A guy that I am in 愛 with(and he loves me) 発言しました that he would tell me what our relationship is. He 発言しました yesterday that he did not have an answer and then today he looked at me empty-like and said, "If I 発言しました I do not have an answer, then I will not pull one out of my hat." At that my ハート, 心 just... broke. I need your advice. I still 愛 him a lot, but.... what should I do?
