Twilight_Dream i could only stand to watch 1 minute and 39 seconds of this. isn't it just the funniest thing how almost all people who don't like twilight, hate seeing anything to do with twilight and so on talk about twilight so much instead of, oh i don't know, doing something they actually like instead of focusing so much on something they so call, hate?

Dearheart Actually, we talk about it so much because we AREN'T stupid. There are a lot of things in Twilight that we believe are bad (and I'm NOT talking about the stupid "vampires don't sparkle" issue). Twilight is a phenomenon that is affecting many, many readers, most of them still very young, and there are a lot of messages in these books that we think could be harmful to them. We talk about Twilight because we feel these issues should be brought to light and discussed. We want to take a closer look at things and know exactly WHY we believe Twilight is bad. It's called "intelligent debate". Maybe you've heard of it. And if you had clicked on the link I gave you...or at LEAST had a mind that was a [i]little[/i] more open to hearing other's opinions instead of assuming that anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot...maybe we wouldn't be having this pointless tit-for-tat fight. ^__^

Dearheart *sighs* OKAY. Since you obviously didn't waste any effort reading the answer I linked to, I shall copy and paste it for you here. Please pay some attention to it, as I won't be repeating myself anymore. [i]...in answer to your question...there are several reasons. 1) Many of us have had very bad experiences with Twilight and the Twihards. It's bad enough seeing something you don't like invade EVERY shopping mall and bookstore and t-shirt shop (not to mention some of your favorite Fanpop spots). It's even worse when some of the crazy fans try to ram it down your throat or scream mindless, nasty insults at you if you dare to criticize it in any way. Sometimes, when it all becomes too much, you just need to vent about it. 2) One of the reasons why I made the CAT is because a lot of people - both pros and antis - simply want to get away from the hype and have a real, intelligent discussion about Twilight. When I read Twilight, and when I did research on the other books, [u]I noticed many themes in it that I believe are bad - such as Bella being a weak, whiny, negative role model for girls, Edward's controlling, stalkerish, bi-polar behavior towards her, the way their unhealthy relationship was being portrayed as "true love", etc.[/u] You may not see it like that, and that's fine...but I feel these are interesting and serious issues that should be brought to light, and so do others. Talking about them not only helps us form opinions, but also helps us understand exactly why we don't like the series. It's always good to know what you believe, and[/i] why[i] you believe it. 3) To be honest...hating on Twilight is kinda...fun. It gets addicting. xD Even the Twilight fans here get a kick out of it. In fact, often it's not about[/i] hating[i] Twilight - we just love humor and we like to poke fun at it. It's so ridiculously[/i] easy[i] to laugh at and so fun. It's become our own personal brand of heroine...or catnip. Whichever drug you prefer. =P [/i] The comments section really isn't the place for this.
