Pretty much any Discworld novel によって Terry Pratchett is a thoroughly enjoyable read, but especially the Tiffany Aching series and The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents. Then there's His Dark Materials, a series によって Phillip Pullman (the first book was later adapted into the film 'The Golden Compass', which is an abomination and a horrendous insult to the book), set in a world where a part of everyone's soul takes the form of an animal companion. In fact, practically anything によって Phillip Pullman is well worth reading. If あなた feel like something もっと見る in the real world, Notes from a Big Country, A Walk in the Woods or, indeed, anything によって Bill Bryson, is great. The Stone ハート, 心 trilogy is another great ファンタジー series によって Charlie Fletcher about statues coming to life; it's really underrated. If you're もっと見る in the mood for a romance, North Child is a good one - basically Beauty and the Beast, but better (not that I don't like Beauty and the Beast).
