によって now, we all know that wrestling is largely "fake". Knowing this, many people often ask me why I'd bother still watching WWE, knowing that it's fake. Since this community is full of WWE fans, I thought I'd share my answer here with あなた guys to see if あなた agree?

PROS:

6. The Varied Wrestling Styles:
I find it very entertaining to see the different styles pitted against each other in the ring. Watching fast vs strong または high-flying vs submission-ist etc. I find it interesting to see how these styles play out against each other and I enjoy the 表示する that 2 really talented wrestling performers of diverse styles can put on. I even enjoy watching 2 wrestlers of similar style against each other if they're both really talented.

5. Certain Entertaining & Lively Crowds:
I 愛 those cities that have the really invested crowds. I remember the first time I heard such chants as "This is wrestling" and "You still got it". They were amazing moments and I 愛 when just about the entire crowd is so in sync that they are thinking the same thing. I've met so many great ファン in the WWE universe and I just 愛 when I get to see those rowdy crowds that make themselves part of the show. Such crowds include: Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Canada and UK. They just make the shows a much もっと見る fun and filling experience for me.

4. Less John Cena; もっと見る Other Guys:
Sorry to the Cena ファン but I am one of those WWE ファン who wants him to retire from WWE already または at least give the other guys もっと見る air time as I believe they deserve it. There is so much talent in the WWE and there are too many superstars who suffer from Cena's shadow undeservedly. I believe CM Punk is one of, if not the, best wrestler WWE ever had and I think WWE treated him horribly but I also selfishly wish he hadn't left. Anyways, there are still plenty of great talented guys who clearly have the 愛 of the ファン but they just don't seem to get the deserved respect and attention from the company (i.e. poor booking matches and scripts etc). Superstars like Dolph Zigger, Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose and many others deserve much better matches and storylines then they are getting.

3. The Wrestling Choreography:
While some may look at the WWE superstars as "glorified stuntman", the fact of the matter is that action 映画 are selling galore at the box office right now. At least these guys actually do their own stunts which is worth respecting. There is an entertainment aspect to WWE of course, it's like an action drama show, but that shouldn't take away from the athleticism that it takes to do their job. I appreciate and respect the hard work of training that these wrestlers go into and yes, I still very much enjoy the performance. Certain superstars are so talented that they carry my attention enough to look past the inauthentic endings. They work hard and they really are performing the stunts and wrestling moves that I enjoy the most.

2. The New Crop of Superstars aka NXT:
I know I'm not the only one who has had the thought that NXT can compete with at least Smackdown, if not RAW, especially the last couple years. There is so much talent in the NXT roster and it's a joy to watch those superstars grow and make their way up to the main roster. Such superstars I am speaking of include: Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Wade Barrett, Big E. Langston, Bo Dallas, Adrian Neville, Tyler Breeze, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, etc.

Additionally, NXT also seems to help a few main roster superstars get the legitimate training they need to improve themselves and really prove to be 'main roster' material. (Looking at あなた Eva Marie!)

1. The Women's Division:
I don't know about anyone else but I truly believe that this is the best era the WWE has ever had in terms of female wrestlers. I grew up idolizing Chyna (RIP) and Lita (& The Hardy Boyz) and have respected many of the women's wrestlers throughout (primarily Michelle McCool, Natalya, etc.). Unfortunately, I feel like prime female superstars have been few and far in between for the most part, with most not really having all of the qualities to become huge superstar material. The Diva's Revolution has definitely changed that and in my humble opinion, it really started with AJ Lee. I'm not surprised that she and CM Punk got married as they were the 上, ページのトップへ of their respective fields (in my opinion) as wrestlers when still with the company. The fact of the matter is, AJ Lee was very talented in ring, on the microphone and wasn't hard on the eyes. She had the right trio of qualities needed to elevate the entire Diva/Women's Division and she made it happen. Her wrestling performance was well above most of the other divas and she got the ファン interested in the women's division without the need of ex-playboy types. She started the era of the women in WWE really being respected for their wrestling skills over their looks with an amazing balance. When she became the longest reigning Diva's Champion, it was definitely earned and it definitely added prestige to the Title. AJ Lee is not the most talented female wrestler nor the most attractive female wrestler that WWE has ever had but she did have the perfect balance of both to capture the ファン as well as set the bar higher in terms of wrestling performance for the women's division. Luckily for the fans, the amazing crop of ladies from NXT were ripe and perfect to carry the torch when AJ Lee parted from the company. Superstars like Paige, Emma, and Summer Rae to Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks etc. have kept up the bar and, in my opinion, even raised it a bit higher again. Whenever these ladies have had the time to 表示する their skills, they have actually proven to be up to par and even better than some of the male superstars. This is the first time that I have felt I have ever been able to legitimately say that. The only obstacle now is whether または not WWE will give these women the time they deserve and have earned. WrestleMania 32 was one of the most amazing women's matches I have ever seen and while I believe it did a lot for the women's division, I am a bit disappointed that the win wasn't clean, regardless of who ended up winning. I believe the first women's champion of the 'new women's era' should've been a clean-winning champion but hey, WWE may have been trying to set up for a もっと見る exciting SummerSlam so I will just wait and see.

CONS:

Since I've taken the time to mention why I like WWE, I thought I'd take some time to mention some things that keep me from loving WWE.

4. Forced Fraudulent Violence:
Since we know the violence is fake, I don't really prefer it being rubbed in my face. Every time they try to do a "Street Match", it's actually quite disappointing because the action is often obviously fake. As I've mentioned before, I don't want these people to get hurt as I appreciate what they do but I think their job is violent enough without adding the clearly contrived violence. Watching fake blows that don't actually make contact takes away from the experience and time in the ring, in my opinion. あなた either get obviously false beatings, a lot of weapon built up suspense towards anti-climactic results または injured stars desperate to give us authenticity. That being said, I do still enjoy those ladder matches though (when done correctly). Wow...

3. Embarrassingly Goofy Segments:
Every WWE ファン knows what I'm talking about when I say there are some things WWE does that embarrass us. There are things that can't be repeated to anyone who doesn't watch because it degrades the entire experience. Additionally, it gives the WWE audience a really bad rep. While there are some WWE ファン with a very juvenile sense of humor, there are also plenty of WWE ファン who enjoy the wrestling and/or performance (meaning mic skills etc.) who don't need those really awkward segments that make us thankful for DVR and sad that a 3 hr RAW would be so wasted on such things (and too many replays).

2. Bad Writing/Against the Fans:
I like heel characters. I like heel characters もっと見る than face characters often times because they tend to need better wrestling skills to pull of the heel persona. (Talking all of that trash doesn't amount to anything if they can't back it up in the ring.) I don't like heel writers. WrestleMania 32 is a great example of that. The Women's Championship is restyled with a new title, ベルト and promise of respect yet it's coronation match ends with interference? Shady way of 表示中 respect, in my opinion. Furthermore, giving the タイトル to Roman Reigns who clearly has work to do and is not the best choice when it comes to wrestling talent, microphone talent または crowd support? Fail. It's sad that the WWE universe seems to prefer HHH as champion to Reigns considering the overwhelming crowd support for new talent but it just shows how obvious it is that Reigns isn't ready. I'm not saying he could never be champion, I'm just saying it's obvious that now isn't the right timing and with a business like WWE, timing is everything.

1. Contrived Endings:
Since I actually enjoy watching the diverse wrestling styles as well as the talented wrestling performers, it disappoints and takes away from the enjoyment of the experience when I cannot count on the endings of matches, and therefore タイトル reigns, to have authenticity. I miss the days when I didn't know WWE was fake because I loved rooting for a superstar and really believing they had a shot and believing I was watching that opportunity play out. I don't mind the violence not being as real because I don't actually want these guys to be so hurt on the job that they don't get to have a life after retirement, literally and figuratively. I personally believe the wrestling part should be played up もっと見る and I wish that the endings were もっと見る authentic as a contest of skill and stamina. This is the single most disappointing factor about WWE to me and what keeps me the most from investing much into it beyond what I would any other 表示する I happen to like to watch. (Meaning that I won't stop watching over it but I'm not paying ticket price to physically go to a PPV event over it.) I don't mind watching the script but I'd pay もっと見る to see もっと見る authenticity.

So what do あなた guys think? Agreements? Disagreements? I'd 愛 to hear your thoughts!
