It's nice. Of course it makes me think of the Nat King Cole song "L-O-V-E", since you reference it in the third line. This was a mild problem for me, because I expected the meter to allow it to be sung, but the syllables don't line up that way, at least, not for the Nat King Cole song. Was there another tune, or is it more free verse where the meter is less important than the meaning?

actually, harold, if i could get it to be sung, then i would. but i couldn't think of any way to keep my meaning and get it to have a meter. it started out as free verse. it is about one particular person in my life, and it would be nice to sing it. but as i said, i don't know how to change it to give it a meter.
