The mother's eyebrows knitted in confusion when she saw her son make the cookies disappear, knowing almost instantly where they could have been when she heard the ruckus of a sibling brawl begin in the other room for all three cookies. A soft sigh escaped her chest and she sat on her knees over Weiss's bed. She remained silent for a long minute, eyeing her child eat which brought some comfort to her.
"Weiss.... Don't take that personal, my love. No matter what form you are, you will always be a Quartz." She kissed his forehead gently, smiling down at him. "They're tired... And annoyed... And sad... And well, they're just infants. They love you just as much as I love you. Just as much as your father and I love you. And nothing can possibly change that." She sighed before lowering her ears. "I've avoided questions of what happened and how you got here because I want you to feel comfortable sharing it. And I'll gladly wait as long as you want. I'm just..." Tears began to blur her vision a little. "I'm just so happy you're here... I feel like... I can finally breathe. I never had the chance to-- or for you to know-- or...." She bit her lip a little before releasing a small, short giggle. "I love you."
