In Bluestar's Prophecy, Thrushpelt thinks Bluefur's kits are his. That would mean they mated even though they weren't mates? Is that normal?

I dunno, maybe it's not considered something only mates do, または they had a forbidden love?!? No jk, still, it was something which always puzzled me.

I know he 発言しました that, but before Bluefur's friend had gone all gossipy to him and so he approaches Bluefur asking her if the kits were his. After she explains, he tells her that.
