Over my past trips to Disney, I have done many things, and to be honest, forgotten most of it. Some things are never to be forgotten, though. Here are some of my お気に入り memories...
First tooth REALLY lost...
I ロスト my first tooth at Animal Kingdom. I had eaten an 林檎, アップル several days before. My tooth had been really loose, and I refused to pull it and wouldn't let anyone else pull it either. That day, we ate at Pizzafari, and when we left, we discovered that I had no tooth. My parents say that I swallowed it, but I maintain that it got ロスト and thrown away in the crust...
Speaking of teeth...
Not only did I lose several teeth at Disney, but so did my brother. He pulled one on the bus on the way back from Downtown ディズニー and then handed it to my mom. Lovely. Just lovely.
Star Tours
When 星, つ星 Tours was redone, my brother and I, loyal 星, つ星 Wars ファン that we are, insisted on waiting an 時 to ride it, something my family NEVER does. I was very excited to discover that I was a rebel spy essential to the rebellion. On later rides, both my mom and brother were selected as rebel spies, but my dad wasn't. Now we're wondering about him...
An encounter with Darth Vader
On my first trip to Disneyland in California, I was sitting there at the Tomorrowland Terrace eating my breakfast, when I turned around and there was Darth Vader, a little too close to me for my comfort, for the Jedi Training 表示する (in Tomorrowland in Disneyland). Apparently, the look on my face was priceless.
On a later trip to ディズニー World, I was getting on 星, つ星 Tours when Darth Vader came down the other lane, coming within three feet away. I leaped out of his way, just to be safe. あなた never know, right? I don't think I've ever been so afraid of a ディズニー Character.
Broken Down Ride
On my first trip to Disneyland, I was on Pinocchio when all of the sudden, the ride stopped. We sat there for a while, and then the lights went on. The 次 thing we knew, a cast member was escorting us off. I never did get back on that ride that trip. That's the only time I've ever had to be escorted off a broken down ride.
Thunder Storms in the Parks...
I've been through many storms, including Hurricane Charlie, but a few stick out in my mind.
On the way back from Blizzard ビーチ during a thunderstorm, we noticed a lot of lightning in the area. Then, we heard a bang, and the bus shut down. Turned out that we had been struck によって lightning, not once, but twice. Another bus was sent to rescue us.
In Magic Kingdom once, we got stuck under Astro Orbiter. We couldn't get on anything; we just sat there. によって the time we got out, the park had closed. I've never seen Tomorrowland emptier, though.
The August after 星, つ星 Tours reopened, we were in Hollywood Studios under a very heavy thunderstorm. We were over near 星, つ星 Tours when the storm started. We ended up running from the end to the front and getting on it with basically no wait five times in a row
And Hurricanes out...
My 39th trip in August 2011 was my longest trip to 日付 at 19 days. It ended up being longer because of Hurricane Irene back ホーム in Baltimore. Our flight was supposed to be the night of the storm, and so a few days before, we arranged to stay a few extra days. The 日 of the storm, ironically, was the nicest 日 weather wise of the trip. Just had to stay longer. Such a shame...
Driving the Boat
Then there was the time when I was on Jungle Cruise, and the skipper had me put on his hat and drive the ボート through the tunnel with all of the tigers. I now am aware that the ボート is on a track and I was doing nothing whatsoever to operate that boat, but for an eight-year-old, it was very exciting.
Scary Situations
When I was little, I was terrified of masks. Any masks, except for the ones the characters wore (I was never afraid of them for some reason) sent me into a state of absolute panic. Well, one time, my mom put on one of the masks from the gift ショップ near Haunted Mansion that was the full head mask of one of those ghosts. Now imagine a three 年 old after seeing the most terrifying thing ever, and you'll see me. I can still remember it, too.
My dad scared me too, but not with masks. When we were in the caves at Tom Sawyer Island when I was two, he got in front of me. Way in front. Then, he decided to surprise me behind one of the craters with a little "boo" action. Needless to say, I was not happy. I was almost as hysteric as I was over the mask incident. Almost. However, years later, I succeeded on pulling this trick on my best friend. That time, I had the last laugh.
The Death of Pal Mickey
Cast Members are the best. I say this with a reason.
When I was about 8, I had one of the ever-popular Pal Mickeys. Sad to say, Pal Mickey met a very unfortunate end involving me,a little klutziness, and the water at the Mexican ボート ride. We took Pal Mickey to the Camera Center at the front of Epcot, where we told the Cast Member about Mickey's swim. He decided to do something about it: give me a brand-new, updated Pal Mickey, which I have down to this day. I don't remember his name, but if he ever reads this, I would like to say thank あなた from the bottom of my heart.
