Shadow of the Colossus falling on Hollywood 

The worst case scenario about this film, though, is the fact that Andrezj Bartkowiak is the chosen one for directing it. For people who don't even know this guy, here are a couple hints... Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and Doom.

In no way could this work. Shadow of the Colossus was the single most perfect video game I have EVER played, but a film? Sure, it's made by a terrible director who made the inevitably awful Doom, but just think of the concept itself... people will be bored to tears watching some dude ride around on a horse looking for a monster in a green screen without actually being able to experience it themselves.

I know. It sounds horrible. Plus, video game-based movies have always been a major flop (Except for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It was awesome), so it feels like this would be no different. I also understand how the concept for Shadow of the Colossus just can't and won't work in a movie. It would be way too much of a hassle to try and fit the whole story in one movie anyway.
