I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Left 4 Dead 3 in development and "looks great," Counter-Strike co-creator says - GameSpot
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Left 4 Dead 3 in development and "looks great," Counter-Strike co-creator says
Minh Le goes on to say that he's seen Half-Life 3 concept art and that it's public knowledge that Valve is working on that game.
Piling on to previous leaks, Counter-Strike co-creator Minh Le said in a new interview that Left 4 Dead 3 is in development and it is coming along well. Speaking with goRGNtv, Le--who no longer works at Valve--said, "It wouldn\'t be any news if I said yes, I saw it. It looks great."
"So I was really excited when I saw that. I was like \'Wow, this looks great.\' I really enjoyed Left 4 Dead," he added. "It was just one of those games that really changed the industry because I think at the time there weren\'t many good co-op games, so it was like, \'Yeah, this is a great co-op game.\'"
2008\'s original Left 4 Dead was developed by Turtle Rock Studios, which has since split from Valve and is working on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC game Evolve. Left 4 Dead 2 was released just a year later in 2009. Though rumors have abounded about a third installment in the series, Valve has not said anything official on the matter, and the company was not immediately available to comment today.
Also in the interview, Le teases that another much-anticipated Valve game--Half-Life 3--is indeed in development and he\'s seen concept art for it.
"There\'s like a laser sight on my head right now. I don\'t know if I can talk about that, to be honest. I think it\'s kind of public knowledge that people know that it is being worked on," Le said about Half-Life 3. "So if I were to say I\'ve seen some images, like some concept art of it, that wouldn\'t be big news. But I guess I could say that I did see something that looked like kind of like in the Half-Life universe. It wouldn\'t surprise anyone if I said \'Yeah, they\'re working on it.\' So I mean, to go out on a limb, I would say yeah, I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3. Somebody\'s knocking on my door right now [laughs]. It seems like old news. I think everyone kind of knows that it\'s being worked on."
Le\'s latest project is free-to-play shooter Tactical Intervention, available now on Steam. He didn\'t like the idea of making a free-to-play game, but the business model choice was not his to make, he said in a recent interview. For more on Le\'s impact on the gaming world, be sure to read GameSpot\'s interview with the designer, as part of our new feature, "Dust to Dust: The History of Counter-Strike."

I feel this is going to end up like Last Guardian
If people want Half-Life 3, they would avoid this game like the plague.
no pressure but if you fail HL3 you will be utterly unmade and destroyed and all your dreams crushed and you will all get divorced/dumped by your loved ones and you will lose your homes and cool cars and you will die drunk and alone in the dark on the street, penniless
since when has he been in a position to know these things?
Considering Minh Le does not work for nor did he ever work for Valve, his word means absolutely nothing. He worked with them for about 5 seconds when they first purchased the rights to Counter-Strike, over 14 years ago. Obviously not privy to any information.
Since it\'s Valve, having the knowledge that these games actually exist is good enough news for me.
Left 4 Dead 3 will announced Microsoft Conference coming out this fall 2014 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC
Portal 3 will be announced this E3 2014, scheduled for 2015
Half Life 3 will be announced next year, scheduled to finally release in 2016
Team Fortress 3 will be announced sometime in next two years, scheduled 2016
It\'s public knowledge that Valve is working on Half-Life 3? Yeah and people keep seeing Bigfoot and UFO\'s, but until I see some proper evidence I\'m not ready to believe in either of them.
Holy shіt, Valve CAN count to 3? What is new world we live in? I don\'t recognize it. There\'s fire and bimstone coming down from the sky, rivers and seas boiling, earthquakes, volcanoes, the dead rising from the grave, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!
I don\'t know what to make of Half Life 3\'s apparent concept art; we also saw some come out a few years back. Could it just be that or is the game truly being made? Guess we\'ll have to wait to E3 to find out as that\'s pretty much as good a time as any to announce the title.
At this point after so many rumors, even if president Obama says Half-life 3 is coming I won\'t believe it.
lies! valve doesn\'t do trilogies, they just start counting from one again.
Left For Dead 3 will be a re-skinned Left For Dead 2, with slightly better graphics, and the same old dumbass AI that climb over lamp posts to get to you.
Lets hope they add a system so that replaying levels actually gives you something (xp? items?). Otherwise I\'m not sure how they could improve on L4D2 other than more weapons, maps, and maybe a few more zombie types...
The downside of Steam being successful. Now games are no longer the top priority for Valve.
Wait...is Valve really counting to three or is this a dream? Probably a dream.
Yes!!! Though I would have rather waited a few weeks to hear this as E3 news, so the company can reveal in their own way, and no one ruins their career or reputation by talking when they shouldn\'t be.
Concept art doesn\'t mean a game is being developed, it means art is being developed.
Did they ever try to resolve the story behind the zombie outbreak?
I hope it\'s only on PS4, Xbox one, and PC.
@vadagar1 I thought it said penisless. Glad I was wrong.
It will definitely be on the ps4 since the ps4 is the lead console for the majority of publishers/developers this year.
@XxXDarkness0XxX Valve games always play better on PC and aren\'t very hardware intensive. Get it there and you\'ll probably get free DLC, too.
@XxXDarkness0XxX PS3 had Portal 2, so it shouldn\'t be any inconvenience for Valve to release L4D3 in the PS4.
@XxXDarkness0XxX That would be awesome, I love LFD one of the best zombie games ever!!!
@dark_rage864 yeah that\'s all not true but wouldn\'t we all wish
@vadagar1 it\'s almost as if that joke hasn\'t been done to death over the past six to eight years
@vadagar1 Uh no melee weapons are the best part of the game! MELEE is the star for that game.
@vadagar1 Uh no. Melee weapons are the entire point of the game. Primary weapons are used for special infected - that\'s why they\'re there. You\'re supposed to kill everything else with infinite ammo pistol or with melee weapons.
@liquidbutter That Ghostbusters reference never gets old. lol
@liquidbutter probably gonna be called left 4 bread and they troll us
Yea left 4 dead is fun for like one level the gameplay gets boring so fast and people are dogging watch dogs and call of duty for there graphics but left 4 deads graphics have always sucked bad idk why people want it so bad I would rather have half life 3 or portal 3
It still means part of a game is being made, it\'s not like large game makers are just going to waste 100\'s of man hours to make concept art for games they know they will not really make.
@sladakrobot In the next game they will tie the zombie outbreak in Left 4 Dead to the monster situation in Half Life. All will be explained in an epic crossover...ha, ha, ha!
@bluebird08 What makes you think it will be on PS4?
If its only on PC and Xb1 I will certainly upgrade my PC though but I\'d rather it be on the PS4 because theirs no way am I buying a dud of a console like the Xbox 1.
@grenadehh @vadagar1 no ur not suppose to kill 20 million zombies with your never breaking tool of god
and I tried to swing a stick a few times, surprisingly I got tired :O
I\'m sorry but when you kill 20 zombies with a single sword slash thats just BULLSHIt
@Link3301 Valve hasn\'t made a game since 2011. Before that it was 2008, then 2009, and before 2008 it was 2004. Before that it was 1998. Unless you want to count their bastardizations of CS and DoD.
@grenadehh Dota 2 came out less than a year ago, before that was CS:GO in 2012, then Portal 2 in 2011, then Alien Swarm in 2010, then L4D2 in 2009, and L4D1 in 2008, and the list goes on, but Valve has been releasing at least one game every year since 2003.
But valve did not release those on PS3 because they did not like the architecture at the time, they are now good with Sony consoles and have released all of their games since Portal 2, save for CS:GO, which was a PC Exclusive, on Playstation Systems.
@Link3301 L4D 1&2 are not on Playstation, so people assume 3 will not be as well.
