Well, it really depends how old you are, but listen to your mom. If she doesn't want you reading them, then don't break her rules. That causes problems.

If you REALLY want to and think this is unfair, talk to your mom and see if you can compromise.

Or just bribe her. But that last one isn't the greatest idea ever. :)

It really depends on how old are you, because there are some parts that are really descriptive and are for adolecents really. There are sex scenes and some other things that probably mom won't let her kids to read, so yeah, it really depends on your age ;)

well its very...mature for some people and just a warning you might get grossed out or offended by it. my parents let me read it and did NOT tell me about it.i was really offended and grossed out for the third book. the fourth is good. but you probably dont want to go out of order.so you ARE kinda lucky that you dont get to read it because now im stuck with offending thoughts in my head.

it depends how old you are, but i don't think it was that bad, if there would be more blood or sex in it i would agree with you mom but i read the books many times and it's really not that bad. the third book was a little scary to read and the fourth a little grossed but no it's totally unfair ^_^

One thing about parents is that they generally do know what's best for their kids, but if your mom knows what they're about and thinks you're too young, talk to her about why she thinks you're too young. If she's going to read them or already has, then she should give you the chance to read them to and maybe talk to her about them. Plus there's ONE "sex" scene, and it's NOT in detail. None of the "private" moments are. The subject matter might be a little old for you depending on how old you are, but you'll have to learn about it in time.
