“Did I fall a sleep” I asked him confused. “I thought ヴァンパイア can’t sleep”
“yes あなた did fall a sleep and no ヴァンパイア don’t sleep, but it’s probably because you’re pregnant and very tired that あなた did” he 発言しました back
“How long did I sleep then” asking him but still looking outside.
“about 7 hours I guess” he 発言しました back

How the hell did he find out? I had not 発言しました anything and neither had Edward または Jacob. Well, I don’t know about their thoughts. I’m not really paying attention to Edward’s since I’m trying to find the bracelet and Jacob never 発言しました anything at all to Charlie the past week.

Kayla’s POV


Life was to carry on as normal. That meant I would have to go to school and take my exams. I knew I was 安全, 安全です because Edward was with me and Charlie 発言しました Mitchell would be constantly on look out. Plus the オオカミ were helping too. So I shouldn’t be so jittery, right? But I was. Every noise scared me and any slight movement had me cowering into Edward’s protective embrace. Edward found this all amusing. Glad I made someone laugh.
The weekend I just had seemed to drag on for weeks and weeks. It felt longer than just two days. So the following week dragged on for what felt like months...

Perhaps if I had not so tightly clutched the rose, its thorns would not have pierced my flesh so deeply.

The creeping vines finally reached the branch on where I sat. They touched my cheek and gently wiped my tears away. I realized there were two options left for me: Either I sit still and ignore the pain または gather enough courage and walk away. I sighed. I could not do either one.

“I’ll be okay.” I whispered softly in the dark. I hoped that could be true.
