so, Ive been hearing alot about Twilight and True Blood and its similarities. in my opinion, あなた cant really compare the two. And for those who don't know what True Blood is, it is about a girl who can read thoughts except for the vampire's. They fall in love, and it goes from there. And I'm sure everyone knows about Twilight since this is the Twilight spot.

Point #1- they are both vampire related, but, one is for mature adults. I hear stuff on youtube, and how Twilight is for "sissy, teenage girls", and that really bugs me. Twilight is based on love, and affection, life choices, and adventure. True Blood has some of that essence plus some unnecessary sexuality, または language.

Point #2- Twilight has characters もっと見る relatable to people. When Bella breathes, あなた feel her breath. When Edward looks at Bella with his penatrating, ゴールド eyes, あなた feel the intensity of his stare, and when he holds her in his cold arms... あなた feel his stone hard skin. True Blood doesn't seem that way to me.

Point #3- True Blood is for もっと見る mature watchers, and it shouldn't be compared to Twilight. I know I kinda contradicted myself によって listing its differences.. but I'm trying to get the point across. That Twilight isn't for "sissy, teenage girls".

And I hope I dont offend anyone with this article. I like True Blood too. It's interesting, but sometimes.. It gets to a point where I have to フォワード, 前進, 楽しみにして through some unnecessary parts, like I said. Tell me what あなた think please.

AreYouSure I completely agree. To me they can't be compared. They are completely differen't. I like Ture Blood, its something to watch and it keeps me interested, but I LOVE Twilight, major obsessed!.. Twilight isn't for sissy, teenage girls. It's just that people say that and then don't read it so they don't contradict themselves or prove themselves wrong. People have some big egos, so they prefer to not read a AMAZING book. Anyways nice article :]

blisslikethis well it's obvious they aren't meant for the same audience. i don't agree about the "unnecessary" parts of True Blood. i think it's a brilliant show, and yet another fantastic notch on HBO's bedpost.. so to speak. Twilight, while amazing, was still written for young adults, by a mormon author. it is therefore not very surprising that the writing style is pretty tame for a romance. considering that True Blood is an HBO series, i'm surprised at how tame it's been this far. hell, i'm hoping it gets grittier!

AreYouSure I thought that last True Blood episode was the best. I thought Sookie's brother Jason was hilarous! lmao!

mandapanda im not saying its bad, because i like it, and cant wait for next episode, but i just think that the language could be brought down a notch.

sylar_rocks I agree with the part that they should not be compared. But, I don't agree with any of the critisicm you have for True Blood. It is an amazing show and neither the language nor the sexual content in it can be categorized as 'unnecessary'.

katlynncore I agree with you completely. I love both True Blood and Twilight and I don't feel that Twilight is for "sissy, teenage girls" because first of all, it's fan base isn't just teenagers. There are many different age groups that like it, for example, Twilight Moms. Second of all, just as blisslikethis said: Stephenie Meyer is a Mormon, so she's not going to write a bunch of racy scenes. I like that she didn't too because, to me, it puts more focus on the love and relationship between Edward and Bella. As for True Blood, sex works. It just fits with it whereas, with Twilight, it would seem awkward to me and just wouldn't mesh well. I agree that they are incomparable because they are so different.

Meganj15 I agree that Twilight and True Blood can't be compared. i first read about True Blood on a comment on a video on Youtube, saying basically that it was a copy of Twilight. So I watched the promo episode, and I loved it. I couldn't wait for the first episode to be aired and I was constantly checking Fanpop for updates on episodes (because I live in the UK). I watched episode 1 and 2, and I have to admit that I'm glad I was watching it on the internet and not with my mum and dad. I then found out that it was based on books, so I bought them off amazon. When I started to read them I was hooked, although I have to admit that they aren't as well written as Twilight. I really love the show and it really annoys me when people compare them.

lovemedead7 I LOVE THEM BOTH!! they have their similarities but who cares? I don't see why it matters their both really really good.

blisslikethis True Blood is a tv show currently airing it's first season on HBO. it's on Monday nights I believe? I'm not entirely sure, as I live in Canada and thus have to go through other means to watch it :)

twilightnurse True Blood is based on The Southern Vampire Series written by Charlaine Harris, the first book is "Dead like Me." They're paperbacks about 9 books, quick easy reads. Definitely for mature audiences since its on HBO produced by the same guys who did "6 feet under." Very cool, I enjoy them both but 2 different entities. True blood is also entertaining , "southern" vampires, really... They went mainstream- drinking "True Blood" a synthetic blood product created by the japanese. It's about vampires fighting for "equal rights, since they pay taxes since they came out of the coffin." Twilighters appreciate the great writing, the emotion it makes us feel. I'm sure most will find True blood entertaining as well. The episodes are on HBO on Demand also, you can catch up & watch all 5 episodes so far.

mustang1450 It's a very good show Twilight I like better in the affectient ways and better with the romance also the characters for the vampires I only like Bill of True Blood what I do like though better about True Blood is the sense of humour it makes the show alot of fun and interesting to watch Jason and Tera crack me up.

lynniebinnie I'm a little late on my comment, but I want to say it- True Blood isn't any where close to Twilight. If you are basing it on the TV show, you don't know the half of it. I encourage you to read the Charlain Harris books and then decide who ranks supreme. If you are over 25, there is no comparison - the Southern Vampire series that the HBO show is based upon will knock your socks off!

DeadUntilDark32 The two are very hard to compare. It's apples and oranges, really. True Blood has a dark, violent, sexual story line...plot...theme...what have you. Twilight, on the other hand, does have sexual tension, but the theme is about abstinence and love not lust. The only thing they have in common is that it's based on vampires. But even they are very different by comparison. True Blood vamps have the "normal" vampire strengths and weaknesses, where Twilight vamps are what the movie Blade refers to as "day walkers" and sparkle when the sun hits them.
