Chapter One: Pressure

THE RACE WAS ON!
I always knew this would happen. Didn't know when, where, and how it would...but I knew it eventually would happen. To me, to them, and to everyone else that was around me here. They call this place THE RIOT! Cause many people fight here, get killed here, または get injured here. I was brought here over night. I was pretty much kidnapped after betrayed によって my best friend. She sold me out to the Ramens! They are this orginization that goes after their bounty and wont stop coming till they got it! There like The Order of Taraka from Joss Whedon'sBuffy The Vampire Slayer. And yet I wasn't that scared. I was afraid, sure I was, but that didn't stop me to think of SAFETY and FIGHT BACK WHEN NEEDED!
I had what I needed, weapons, armor, the whole sha-bang! But that still made me weak! Cause this whole place is rigged. Hidden cameras, heat 線, レイ visions, and of course night vision goggles. But The Bounty (thats me, and the others) doesn't get those! The Ramens, of course, get them. To use them as, yet again, another way to kill us! I could feel the pressure of fear, and death press against my skin. It was undercover of the hot, sun/heat that beat down on The Bounty!
I wonder where the others are? I bet あなた they've been caught! Only cause most of them are only teenagers! Well, so am I, but there only twelve to fifteen years old! I'm ninteen going on twenty three months from now. But do the Ramens care? No! I can surely tell あなた they don't! All they wanna do is slide there knives into us, as if we're butter! I did have my own shadow a 分 ago, his name was Derek. But then something happened and he was all like POOF! And haven't seen him since. All he 発言しました was: "DONT STOP RUNNING! DONT LOOK BACK! WHATEVER HAPPENS KEEP GOING!"
And that's what I'm doing. Running, and not looking back. No matter the cause! See, what they do is dress up as other Bounty! We all have backpacks on, filled with food/water/etc. Plus weapons/medi-kit/etc. But there's also has the night vision goggles and the heat 線, レイ goggles. And some other stuff including Cross-bows, and high deadly weapons! They trick あなた into thinking there one of you. And just as あなた turn your back to guide them to safety, SHING! Your throat is slit, あなた fall to your knees grasping at the bloody wound, and then あなた die! They collect あなた and throw あなた on the Pile of Burnt Bounty! And the ファン cheer the Ramens on.
The ファン have been brainswashed into thinking this is fun, safe, and all fake! But what they dont know, is that every buck they spend to get in and have a seat, one もっと見る ラーメン is added to the Hunter's List! And the--SHH! What was that? I just heard something! Is that a Bounty, または a Ramen? I can make out it's shape. It's on its knees behind a bush, looking at someone with there back turned to me. They are looking at someone on the other side of the Sycamore tree. As I stopped, I made sure my breath wasn't heard. I slowly took steps, making sure twigs and leaves were not under my feet, disposing of my possible sneak attack!
As I inched closer, I saw the backpack. And then I saw the knife, and the gun, and the...Cross-bow! It's a Ramen! Unless a Bounty is just smart and touch enough to kill and get it's weapon! Either way, it had a Cross-bow at someone によって the Sycamore tree. And I at least have to find out if this person is either the hunted...or the hunter!
I then saw the person によって the tree's face. IT was Derek! The other Bounty that gave me the running advice! Which means that this person is a Ramen! I then thought quickly: Jump on his back, and kill him from behind with the knife! Saving two lives from one dangerous man! Mine and Derek's would be saved. I then got my hand inches away from the ナイフ that was almost all the way visible. It was about to fall onto the floor. And if it did, Derek and the ラーメン would turn and see me! Then I'd be the one in danger, and Derek would have to save me! But could I get it in time before it fell to the ground? I had one chance to get it, and I had to take it...NOW!
I leapt to my possible doom または rescue gig, and grabbed the ナイフ in my right hand, pulling his neck back with the other. Derek's eyes flashed towards us, and jumped into the bushes as the ラーメン pressed down on the trigger. I heard a yelp of pain come from either Derek または the Ramen, and I was happy and sad at the same moment. If it was the Ramen, I'm glad he got a taste of what he's been giving us! But if it was Derek, I'm sad to say he got the pointy end of the arrow!
I grabbed the Cross-bow in my left hand, and dug the ナイフ from my right hand right into the Ramen's stomach. He yelp in pain, and threw me off his back in fury!
"What the hell!" He yelled. "What the hell!"
"Good-bye Ramens, hello flying fatality!" I 発言しました and loaded another ARROW/アロー from the ground into the ARROW/アロー chamber on the Croww-bow. I knew that this little action course would attract either trouble または help, but it was too late to get the words the ラーメン 発言しました back into his mouth! I then pulled the string back just as the ラーメン turned to me. Hands covered in blood, anger and paing running through him like water in a tube! He started for me as I got the string at its right place, and aimed it...he then jumped and landed on 上, ページのトップへ of me!
We fell to the ground with a loud thump, and I heard him cough. I then felt something wet soak through my shirt. I then noticed that the ラーメン was getting weaker. I pushed him off me, and I then realized it was Jake. Another Bounty. I just injured, and probably killed, Jake! "Oh my god!" I 発言しました and Derek came from the bushes. "Quick, get the medi-kit from his back-pack!" I 発言しました and Derek ran to the bushes where Jake's bag laid.
The ARROW/アロー was never shot, but he landed straight on the tip. It went into his chest. Just ten inches away from his heart. Tears fell down my face as Derek opened the medi-kit. He threw the bottle of water and starilizer at me. I grabbed it, and we knelt によって Jake's side.
"Alright, take the scissors," Derek 発言しました handing them to me. "And cut off his shirt. Make sure あなた dont irritate the would または this could be deadly!"
I did as told, and saw the two wounds. The ナイフ was gone, but the ARROW/アロー was still in him.
"Get it out of me! Get it out!" I heard Jake whisper.
"We're trying!" Derek said.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, Jake!" I cried and he smiled.
"Derek? Tori? Is that you?" Jake asked.
"Yes its us!" Derek 発言しました pulling out the needle and thread to stitch up the wounds. "Were here Jake, Tori and I are here."
I looked at the wounds, which only made me cry harder, and I wished that I could just キッス the wounds and make them better. Like our mothers did when we were little. But that would never happen.
"Tori! Grab the arrow, and on three, pull it out! Ready? One..."
"Wait! No!" Jake's whisper grew weaker.
"We have to, otherwise you'll die!" I said.
"Two..." Derek announced.
"NO! Just let me die..." Jake 発言しました and I cried harder.
"We have too!" I 発言しました through sobs, grabbing the ARROW/アロー with my hands.
"THREE!" Derek yelled and I yanked hard.
"OH GOD!" Jake yelled, jolting to sit up. His eyes were filled with tears, and the blood flowed a little faster then before.
"Quick," I said, tears stopping. "Put pressure on the wound to slow the blood in time to stitch it up!"
"Rinse out his shirt!" Derek added and I took Jake's bloody シャツ and poured the water into a bowl from the medi-kit. I then rinse out the shirt, and left the bloody water in there to sit. "Now throw out the water, and hand me the shirt!"
I did so, and Jake sat still. Derek ripped the シャツ all the way in two, and tape one to the stomach wound, and the other to the chest wound. The blood found its way through, and I wiped the tears away from my face. I watched Jake flinch as Derek added pressure to the wound before he could stitch him up!
"Alright, get the 秒 water bottle and clean off the blood! Get the starilizer just in case we need it!" Derek said, and I was glad we three were friends.
For one, there both tough! Two, Derek knows EVERYTHING docotor-y cause his parents are doctors! Three, Jake is knows fighting techniches! He's a black-belt in karate! Which is a good thing too! And four, there really good friends!
Jake tried not to look as Derek pulled the cloth and tape away from his stomach wound five 分 later. The blood was gone, and I held the rag under that wound just incase もっと見る blood spilled. Derek then started the stitching up. And after Derek finished the first of the two stitching, Derek re-applied the cloth and tape to the stomach wound for now. And then he went on to the chest wound.
Derek did as he did before, and I just watched: Water, rag, and starilizer ready just in case needed! Derek re-applied the cloth and tape, and made sure it was tight and secure. But not too tight of course! And then that's when we all jumped! We heard four voices talking as they came closer and closer! Ramens!
"We need to go!" I whispered and we cleaned up as quick as possible. I grabbed the backpack, put the medi-kit in it! Threw the bowl in, and the weapons, and Derek threw everything else in. I zipped up, and we brought Jake to his feet.
"Let's go!" Jake 発言しました and Derek and I helped Jake and us towards safety!
"HEY YOU!" A voice boomed. "GET BACK HERE!"
"Oh..." I began.
"Shit!" Jake finished.
"Crap!" Derek finished.
"My god!" I finished.
We...were caught...and dead! And there was no way out of this! Four against three, not good!
