can the hair on ヴァンパイア grow?

I noticed that in New Moon and Eclipse, Edward's sideburns seemed もっと見る prominent than in Twilight. I know that this is probably just a continuity error, but then I became curious-so?

However, for half-vampires it can. Renesmee's hair continuously grows as she ages :)
