Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of crime drama partners pairings, that would be what my OTP Gormes is and NCIS's Tiva rank pretty high on my list too as do Mulder and Scully but sometimes it gets annoying. For instance on one of the new shows I was watching there were these two characters that had a really adorable, perfect scene and they seemed to have chemistry, but being that she has a hot partner whom she has "sexual tension" with (I'm tired of the sexual tension between partners stuff, can't they just be friends in some cases?) I have a feeling my spotted pairing is pretty much screwed oh and this also causes me to have instant dislike for the hot partner eventhough he really is cute.

I only watch Bones and Castle and iLOVE both Caskett & BB, but from what I see in/hear about other crime couples, it's getting a tad cliche.

Heck no! I want them to be cliche. In fact, I'm pissed if they aren't... cough..Stabler/Benson...cough.

Actually, crime show characters are becoming cliche. They either:

- have a dark past

- are insanely cheerful or insanely dark

- write bestseller books.

^ I guess somewhat, I was too caught up in the annoyance that my ship will probably never end up together to think that crime dramas are pretty much cliche.

I haven't watched Law and Order: SVU since last season... so I don't know what's going on with the show (I think I heard Stabler is leaving?)-- but I have always loved Olivia and Stabler's partnership and friendship and never wanted them to be a couple. I know MANY fans do want them to be a couple... but I love them just supporting one another and being friends. I think if they got together (or if they have already gotten together and I just haven't seen the episodes?) it would be totally cliche.

I like male and female partners... but they don't ALWAYS have to get together.

^ I wasn't talking about SVU in case you didn't realize, but Elliot and Olivia do happen to be one of the more annoying pairings in my opinion. I mean he's never going to divorce his wife, it's kind of obvious.

There's always gonna be crime shows where the characters are shipped with someone else who they work with. It's the way of the world. ;) XD

I guess there are some cliche ones, but not Booth&Bones. They are the epitome LOVE. haha <3

I think with crime shows, in particular, the partners always have each others backs and protect each other. I find that endearing in a couple.
