Chapter 17
High school, the worse kind
I was so angry that we had to go school the 次 Monday morning, that I even considered skipping. Now, it’s got nothing to do with Ryler, okay maybe a little. But also due to the fact that I have to face Meredith and Cal, yeah, I may have an infatuation. But it still hurts to see Cal with her.
It’s hard to break a crush you’ve had for a while, but I can work something. But now I’m angry because I could spend the whole 日 with Ryler, who was Adam free due to the humongous shopping 一覧 our parents gave him, so we could’ve hung out. Sadly, that’s not happening.
“Someone’s moody,” Sage notes as I shut my locker violently. “Is someone angry they couldn’t have some Ryler time.”
Was I that transparent?
“What? No! I just don’t want to walk into the new ‘it’ couple.”
Sage cocked her head. “True, though I doubt she even likes him, did あなた see the look she gave Grey in class? Totally trying to make him jealous.”
“Which obviously isn’t going to work, considering he’s head over heels fro someone else.” I mutter.
Sage shrugs. “The world is a strange place.”
“No, school is.” I say, and we both laugh.
It was lunchtime, thankfully close to the end of the day, so school would end soon right after a delicious lunch.
“Hey gal’s,” I say as Sage and I take our seats.
“Hey,” Ali says, to into her sub.
“Yeah, hi,” Beth says, distracted looking from somewhere behind me. I turn and I immediately scowl.
Meredith, a.k.a. my new arch enemy, was flirting with Grey at their ‘cool’ table. All though she didn’t make it seems like it, but I and I think Beth could, Cal was a シート, 座席 次 to him, but he didn’t seem to mind.
“I’m so going to laugh when she gets what’s coming for her.” I say, glowering at the roaring table.
Beth shrugs. “It’s her way of a good time, I don’t care.”
But her face 発言しました she did.
“Ugh, looks like バービー has two chew toys.”
I laugh, and the girl’s look at me, weirdly. “What? Two chew toys, and she’s a Barbie…and never mind.”
Ali chuckles. “I will never get your sense of humor, doll.”
“I won’t get yours either.” I tell her.
“I can’t wait till college,” Beth says. “High school’s so overrated, I bet college is better.”
“I’ll ask Ryler,” I immediately know those were the wrong words to say.
Here we go.
All three gal’s turn to me, their eyes dancing with humor and enjoyment.
In my torture, of course.
“So…” Sage intones. “Your going to talk to Ryler, huh?”
Then they start doing the wedding theme.
“Shut up!” I say and they all stop laughing.
“Pammy’s in love,” Ali sings.
“Just keep it down, we don’t want to draw attention.” I urge.
The gal’s all give me a look.
“Dooncey,” Beth says our secret code word for dude, “high school is annoying, cliché, and the worst kind of school to go to ever.”
“At least our one,” I mutter, and the girl’s chuckle.
“What Beth’s trying to say is…” Ali has a devious smile on. “Screw it.”
I nod. “You are so right.” I pick up the pie I brought for us, for Adam’s return and secretly for Ryler’s appearance and walk over to Meredith.
I smile as I see the gal’s panicked reaction, “this is how I feel about you.”
The pie and her face were just a match made in heaven.
