It makes him more vulnerable as a human and less powerful than as a vampire.

The juxtaposition of Bill's flashback (showing how calculated he can be) and the current storyline with Eric, should have been the dead giveaway.

I'm not sure, it was suspicious that he wanted only Eric to go but how could he know what would happen? Maybe it was more hoped would happen rather than knew. One thing i do know, Bill will be pleased ... well until he realises he just pushed Sookie into Erics arms mwah hah hah :0)

^I don't think it was planned per se, he knew they were into necromancy and I think sending Eric (who has a tendency to rub people the very wrong way) with a message they definitely wouldn't like would definitely land him in over his head.

Bill did the equivalent of handing a loaded gun to a crazy person and having said person invade an armed Mexican drug cartel. There is no way a scenario a like that can work in the crazy persons favor, regardless of how badass he is.

I don't think Bill necessarily knew what was going to happen exactly but he knew they were powerful witches and by sending him alone something would happen to Eric but I think this may have backfired on Bill, his vulnerability has to be more appealing to Sookie.

i'm not saying he sent eric knowing that his memories will be weaped ot i think he sent him to be coontroled,he knew that the witches preformed that spell that bring the death to life again and if they use it on a vampire they can controle him i know it in my heart that he wanted that for eric to be controled so he can make him give up sookie's/eric's house back to sookie and he will be the heroe in her eyes again then he would pretty much do anything to make her fall for him again

He knew something was going to happen. He already knew how powerful the witches were, and there was no way a powerful group of necromancers was going to let a vampire walk out of there unharmed after he told them to stop meeting.
