I agree. The reason I made the pick is because of what Kevin Smith said and many people, mostly Kevin Smith fans say. That coming from the guy who directed Jersey Girl...enough said!
I loved his gothic take on Batman, it really suited the mood of the character. If anyone ruined Batman, it was Joel Schumacher. Thankfully Christopher Nolan saved the Bat.
absolutely!!!!! burton's two batman movies were the best! it's also got alot of big stars in them too! just for example, jack nicholson as the joker! that stuff is priceless...i don't think heath ledger as joker (or so i've heard) could ever live up to that performance.
Of course not. I think Jack Nicholson as the Joker was brilliant.
Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light? I think not, but I do believe Tim Burton has.
I loved them, especially when you look at the new batman movie - the creepy undertones never would have emerged if not for the Burton movies. To me, Tim Burton made batman creepy and sinister, instead of camp and cliche.
I loved the first two Batman movies and I think Michael Keaton did a terrific job, now the ones after that ie Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were TERRIBLE!!! The Dark Knight is my favorite Batman movie though, even though Christian Bales is a tool.
YOU ARE KIDDING RIGHT! Tim Burton's Batman movies were what rocketed Batman to popularity, trust me im the biggest Bat-Fan ever and Batman returns is my all time fave movie. Before 1989 Batman was only known for the camp Adam West Batman but Tim Burton made it cool again! If anything Tim saved Batman and i can assure you that if he hadnt have made "Batman" Batman Begins and The Dark Knight wouldnt exist; it was the original serious Batman!
He didn't ruin it, he just developed it! Some people automatically say that change is bad, but to be honest I thought Batman was pretty awful from the beginning. I can understand why hardcore fans may have been "confused" with what Tim Burton did to the movies, because they were quite different, but "different" doesn't necessarily equal "worse".
*throws up*
