Carol and Daryl (aka: Caryl) have one of the most interesting and solid bonds on television.  They’re kindred spirits in a broken world.  The moments they share on ‘The Walking Dead’ are frequently deep, touching, and beautiful.  Let’s explore five of the times they made us feel all the feels.

First off – I’m not exactly a Caryl shipper.  So if you’re looking for a rah rah endorsement for Carol and Daryl to get together and bang, you’re not going to find it here.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m bonkers about the Caryl relationship.  Ambiguous and undefinable, Carol and Daryl share a bond that goes beyond romantic love.  They’re like two halves of the same soul – spiritual twins who finally found understanding and acceptance in one another at the end of the world.

Carol and Daryl were both trapped in difficult and abusive relationships before shizz hit the fan. Before the turn, they both wrestled with low self esteem and an inability to reach out to others for help.  Once the two met, it took a bit of time for their relationship to fully blossom, but once it did there was no stopping their ironclad bond.

Both Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) quickly became fan favorites on the show.  They both portray characters with individually strong personalities.  And what happens when you put the two fan favorites together?  Magic.

So kids, grab your hankies! Here are 5 moments that touched our hearts, made us sniffle, and solidified the bond between these two amazing characters.
