no, he would never do that it's a bit like it was with Katherine, he doesn't care if he hurts his brother all he wants is her. Damon on the other hand is giving up (or trying to) on Elena for Stefan but that's alright the bothers have different personalities if they didn't they would just be clones.I love that the writers are showing Stefan's bad traits a bit more this season it gives his character a little more depth.
