I Just wanted to reach through the Tv and pull damon off of her. He was doing so good before! Then rose came and pushed him over the edge with her death.

It was Damon being damon. Reacting to rose's death He did care for her and she didn't dserve to die. Rose was an innocent bistandard and Damon knew it.
