Alexa pov

"Hey, Lex." Karson walked up beside me and kissed me on the cheek.
"Hey." I smiled.
"So, I was wondering, maybe after school we could go to your house and study." He flashed a grin as we walked down the hall to Spanish.
"Can't." I sighed. "My Uncle is down for my birthday. He's going to be gone so he stopped によって early."
"Well, damn." He sighed.
"I'm sorry." I giggled. "You'll still drive me ホーム though right?" I asked as I perched myself on the doorway of my last class for the day.
"Of course." Karson smiled and leaned down to キッス me quickly then turning toward his own class.
"Ew, Alexa. キス gives あなた cuties." Marie scrunched her nose and Sarah walked beside her giggling.
"You're just jealous." I told her as we took our seats. Sarah on my right, and Marie on my left.
"It's because you're super lucky." Sarah pointed out. "You get all the guys."
"So do you." I told her as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Just not mine." I smiled.

"I'm home!" I called and shut the door with my elbow as I pulled my phone out of my purse.
"I'm upstairs!" Mom called over the railing. "I was just cleaning the guest room for Stefan. How was school?"
I walked up stairs and set my things on my bed. "Same as always. Oh, I have a meeting Friday after school. We have to plan for the Snow Dance."
"They still have that?" Mom laughed.
"Yep. Do あなた need any help?"
"I just finished. Thank あなた though."
"No problem. I have homework so if あなた need me, I will be in my room." I sighed and turned toward my room.
"I fixed あなた a sandwhich." Mom caught me just before I closed my door.
"Thanks." I ran down stairs adn brought it back to my room.

Elena

Alexa was 安全, 安全です away from our conversation as Stefan, Damon, and I were sitting at the dinning room table. She was tucked away upstairs doing her homework.
"Well who are they?" I asked as I cupped the side of my neck and leaned on my elbow.
"Who ever they are, they have to be new. I would have noticed them によって now." Damon turned to Stefan for back up.
"So would I." He agreed.
"But we should be 安全, 安全です right? I mean," I sighed and shook my head. "I mean we haven't invited anyone new into the house. Only our フレンズ and family who have been here as long as we have."
"So Alexa is 安全, 安全です if we are gone." Damon pointed out. "It's been a while since we have been hunting and I don't like this feeling." He scooted in his seat.
"We could go tonight? Like あなた said, Alexa is safe." I looked between the brothers.
"Guess we will have to." Stefan sighed.

I crept back down stairs to where Stefan and Damon were standing in the living room. "Alexa's asleep. Dead to the world." I told them
"We better get going." I took Damon's hand as we made our way into the woods. He didn't like the choice of animals, but he 発言しました "I'm only doing it for the sake of our daughter."
And that was good enough reason for me.

I looked up to Damon who's face mimiked Stefan's and mine. Worry. Something wasn't right. We all felt it. We looked ove our shoulder back to where we had came from and as if some gun shot was sounded we all ran back to the house matching each other's steps perfectly. Something was wrong. Very wrong. It was Alexa. I could feel it.
We busted through the door, Damon in front, and flew up to Alexa's room. She was laying there just as I had left her. Only her body was laying a different way. She had moved in her sleep.
Stefan stood によって the window and I stood between her ベッド and Stefan. Damon was sitting on her ベッド staring at her.
Damon's nostrels flaired, his temples quivered and his hand trembled as he reached for her. He lifted the sleeves of her t-shirt and showed four perfect cuts on each shoulder. Like someone had dug their fingernails into her.
Her head was laying on her 枕 facing away from us. Damon's hands, now shaking violently reached under her chin and carefully turned her face toward us and Damon groweld.
His growl gurgled in his chest, holding some of it's self back, that's when I saw it.
Two, fresh, little holes on the side of her neck. I gasped, もっと見る of a shriek, and backed up to Stefan, grabbing his hand.
I was scared. For Alexa and for Damon. He looked as if he was going to go into town and kill anyone he could get his hands on, but he wouldn't stop there. I had never been so scared of him in my life. If I didn't 愛 him, I would have ran.
In the still silence Alexa shot up out of ベッド screaming a blood curtling scream. Damon gabbed her shoulders and was trying to calm her.
"Alexa!"
"No!" She scream. "No! Stop!" She was sobbing. "Please!"
Damons hands cradled each side of her face.
"Alexa! Look at me! It's me!"
"Dad!" She flung her arms around him and sobbed into his chest.
"It was just a nightmare." She cried.
"Tell me about it." He kissed the 上, ページのトップへ of her hair and smoothed her hair down her back.
"Karson." She gasped. "He climbed up the tree, outside my window. I told him to leave but he didn't. He jummped in my window and pushed me down on the ベッド によって my shoulders, and I remember it stinging. He bit me. Like he was one of you."
Damon looked up to me his eyes cold and scared.
They weren't new vampires, and we had let one in. Karson Andrews.
