if nature wants the doppelganger together why does it have to been stefan and elena why not stefan and katherine

no it doesn't matter who it is but i dont suppose elena would ever be in 愛 with silas but maybe at one point stefan was in 愛 with katherine but that ship has sailed all all the years they spent apart and stefan and elena were in 愛 at one point so it could happen again
