Katherine loves her daugther as every mother loves her sons.

I don't think she did and unless her daughter was turned into a vampire she would be dead. Katherine is over 500 years old.

Kat loves her daughter, but i think if she wanted to look for her, she would have a while ago...that would be a cool flashback :)
