I just carry one comment that I found below the video of Elena' I Love you to Damon in this episode:
When Damon knew it was always going to be Stefan, he told Elena he loved her. When Stefan knew it was Damon, he wanted to forget her.
Also in the episode 2x22 when Damon was gonna to die, he confessed that he would go through the same heartbreak, betrayal and anguish for a 145 years just to meet Elena again.

no,because just taking the easy way out (which is NOT out of stefan's character he have ALWAYS taken the easy way out) which makes weak. and i'm anything but weak.

i mean just like @verox87 said damon would have suffred all that pain just to meet elena,he made mistacks and got his heart broken 100 times but he wouldn't have done any other way.

the same goes for elena in 1x07 when she was still just HUMAN,stefan offered her the easy way out and erasing her memeroies but she said NO, even in 3x05 when damon offered to earse her memories she still said NO and she was just HUMAN,but she WAS/IS STRONGER than stefan ever was/will be

@darlinbear in what way elena is a bitch?? did she lie stefan about what/who she is? then hide from the fact that he looks like her ex-biyfriend? did she lie about having a blood drinking problem? did she hide the fact he was adpoted?did she hide the fact she was a ripper? did she secretly drunk human blood again even though knowing fully well it would turn her in to a ripper? did she ever made feel unwated or accpeted or loved? did she ever had the chance to go back to him after she was free but chose to run way and take revenge? did she ever threaten to drove him off the same bridge her parents died killing and turning him in to a vampire at the same time all for the sake of revenge? did she ever just LET HIM DIE because it's was his choice?

umm....NO, that was all stefan he broke her down and ripped her heart out 100 times and every time she stuck by him and NEVR gave up on him she never tried to fix him or not accpet and love him for excatly what/who is and NEVER once did she ever take the offer to forget the AMOUNT of PAIN AND SUFFERING HE CAUSED HER so plz tell me how excalty is she a bitch??

its hard to say elena did break his heart. it would be hard to deal with. especially when she is now dating his brother. but i wouldnt want to forget all the good times.

No way. I hated how Stefan was so ready to forget everything without a doubt. I'm sure he would have regretted it (well, when he had finally remembered, lol). He's obviously heartbroken and nobody can blame him for how he feels, but forgetting Elena and choosing to lose all their precious moments it's just too selfish.

No!!! I thought about it the whole time he was saying it. I would never want to erase all of the amazing memories that I would have with someone just because of the bad ones. I lost respect for Stefan after he said to erase his memories. That must have hurt Elena more than what Elena did to Stefan at the school. I just wouldn't ever want to forget all the amazing memories that I had with someone just because of the bad ones. I think it's ridiculous.

No way. It would be too easy. No matter how much it hurts, people break up, love stories ends but the pain help us to grow and learn from our mistakes. Memories are too important, mostly when you loved somebody too much. She never wanted to erase memories, even when bad things happened to her, (even when it was his fault) never.
