does anyone know what was wrong with henry's leg in season 3 episode 1 at the end? WTF? did he just have a ランダム perfectly サークル, 円 flesh wound または am i crazy and forgot what happened?!?
Henry VIII of England received a piercing injury to his inner thigh after a jousting match, which was in season one I believe. The wound developed into an ulcer and never healed properly. As Henry VIII aged, they had to be drain the puss and infection daily. The wound festered to a point where it produced a permanent and rancid odor. His German bride, Anne of Cleves, whose looks he despised, noted in season 3, she could not lay with him due to the putrid smell. It is also noted that this injury added to his health troubles as he aged, and may have been a contributing factor to some of his increasing maniacal and tyrannical behavior. Wounds of this nature are treated with antiseptics and antibiotics these days. Medicines they did not have five hundred years ago.
