Parts of it are actually tolerable...but most of it is just made of fail.

I haven't seen it yet, but personally, I bought the soundtrack, and it is rather good! Plot pretty predictable, especially since I read Phantom of Manhattan (which I enjoyed, though nothing like the original). Highlights of the album include Dear Old Friend, Devil take the Hindmost (quartet is better than duet), DEFINITELY Beneath a Moonless Sky, Love Never Dies, and surprisingly, Bathing Beauty is a rather cute song (though not really suited for a Phantom sequel). All in all, not bad. Plot is like a bad fan fiction, though.

omg ramengurl u liked all the songs i liked! i pre-ordered the whole album (cept i didnt really listen to it till i saw the show) personally i thought that the IDEA wuz ok but the way they did it wasn't good. plus really didnt like the girl who played chiristine she annoyed me somehow. so was marginally happy when she died but of course that made phantom sad soo.. but of course ramin wuz undeniably awesome

I'm not quite sure what to make of it.
Till I Hear You Sing really isn't THAT bad of a song, Beneath A Moonless Sky has trashy lyrics but the melody is beautiful.
I still think the whole Coney Island thing is rather stupid.

The plot is still stupid (and unnecessary). The characters still got screwed over. The music isn't anything great, I certainly don't find myself humming it daily like the original Phantom. The pictures don't do anything to redeem it for me. Still, I'm not wasting any energy hating it, It certainly isn't the worst adaptation/spin off that's resulted from Phantom (If anyone deserves my malice it's Ratsturbation Phantom. That movie was BAD) I'm just going to pretend it doesn't exist and go listen to Music of the Night.

okey, so I now finally got the cd and i thought it was awsome! really I started to love it! but then.....the end. really people! aaarggh!

Ok.. I don't like it...
The music is good, Til I Hear You Sing Ramin style is like my favourite song at the moment.. I love the little witty bits that do always seem to make Raoul look the idiot but they're funny "Ah yes your boss and who it that? - it's HIM..."
The casting in London was excellent.. The sets are alright, I prefer the Australian Beauty Underneath scene to the London..
And then there's the characters.. Raoul - drunken fool who bets away his wife in the end... Meg - becomes a whore because she is madly in love with the Phantom 0_o... Madame Giry - who did look after Christine really turns into a selfish money hungry women.. The Phantom - he does seem to calm down a bit in this one, he's established himself and he really has something to offer Christine now (well that is in v1 of LND) and Christine - she seems just as dim as the original really..
And the story.. right the book is rubbish but Raoul is still a good husband and he knows about Pierre not being his.. the person who is both Madame Giry and Meg is a third person so you know that's better.. But that story has Hammerstein getting Christine there under Erik's instruction and she chooses to go because of the quality of the music and not the money and then them singing together..
v1 LND. then obviously kills characters and has the Phantom the owner of Phantasma . It has the look in the future prologue . then the back in time to the opening of the season, phantom then pining for Christine, him getting her over there, and her doing it because she loved him and then the ending..
v2 then puts Til I hear you sing first then the overture and then someone else getting Christine to sing and then the Phantom stealing and blackmailing her.. I thought her singing for him one last time because she did love him was much better.. and also the flow doesn't work.. Meg gets excited about Christine coming and then in "Dear Old Friend" she's shocked when Christine says she's there to sing.. and I think the confrontation should be between Madame Giry and Erik and not Meg.. it makes more sense for her to be saying it to him than to her.. she was her best friend she is coming to where they are what does that have to do with what they did for the Phantom?
So yeah I pretty much dislike it's story a lot but the rest of it is pretty good.. hard to move past a bad story though
