the media seriously thinks that?! what?! that's horrible! Jennifer Lawerence isn't 'too fat' to play Katniss-- she's probably the best actress out there to play her! and she really did a great job portraying Katniss. so wtf?! the media needs to back off, because really, Jennifer did a really great job. and she's not fat, either. no one can really be that skinny as Suzanne Collins describes the people in the Districts, because no actress starves like that. Jennifer did a really great job being Katniss, so it really bothers me that the media's saying this. :\
That is ABSURD. Literally, that may be one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. She is FAR from fat and even if she was fat, which she isn't, she played one AMAZING Katniss. I would much rather see her, an amazing actress with some curves and extra meat on her bones, then some stick thin model looking girl play Katniss. She played the part PERFECTLY and embodied the character of Katniss so well, I wasn't even paying attention to her weight throughout the movie. That's because there was nothing to notice... she is neither too fat nor too skinny. She's fine the way she is and she's really pretty and the media needs to find something else to scrutinize over.

I concur... After 読書 the 本 people develop extremely high expectations for the film version. They need to understand that a movie will never be 100% loyal to the novel because there are too many details and challenges while on set. If the movie is not exactly how they visualized it when 読書 the book, they simply don't like it. In this case they literally wanted a set of BONES（ボーンズ）-骨は語る- to portray Katniss to 表示する the starvation she had to endure in the games. These phenotypic characteristics should not be used to judge a performance.

their idiots. Every single person. I saw the movie and she looked fine. And yes the first book seemed to point out the whole SHE PUT ON WEIGHT after being in the capital. Besides she shouldn't starve her self to fit the perfect image for a starved to death person.

The media is STUPID. These critics are stupid. How is Jennifer Lawrence even remotely fat? She's gorgeous and she played Katniss PERFECTLY. She's NOT fat at all. All these retards in Hollywood would think that a slight bump on your stomach is a sign of fat. Besides who even listens to the media anymore?
First off, Jennifer is NOT fat. Sure she's got "curves", but she's totally skinny.
And second, yes, Katniss DOES come from a poor district, but the thing is, it doesn't make sense that she look starving, because she hunted, so her family always had enough to eat, so Katniss SHOULDN'T look like some malnourished waif anyways!
It's totally stupid for people to both call Jennifer fat (just ridiculous), and to say she's too fat for Katniss.
Ok so if Suzanne Collins really had THAT much of a problem with how Jennifer Lawrence looked then her または Gary Ross wouldn't have picked her. I couldn't belive it. She is so not even close to fat. Besides Katniss eats meat which has protein so she would be a little better fed than others. She also trades her kills for パン and fruit. So she should have a little meat on her bones.

I mean, she was supposed to be thinner, according to the book, but just because she didn't live exactly up to the press's expectations on how it was supposed to be like the book doesn't mean she's fat. She is perfectly average weight, and yes, she's thin. Doesn't mean she has to be skin and bones. I'm average weight, but honestly, I think Jennifer is a bit thinner than me. I repeat, Jennifer is NOT FAT but the 'meat on her bones' that she currently has is too much to portray that particular role. Get it?
I was thinking the exact same thing. She isn't fat, but Katniss is supposed to be practically starving... and Jennifer definitely doesn't have that going for her. That was kind of my big reason (that and her age) that I wanted Hailee Steinfeld to play Katniss.
