CHAPTER EIGHT
We dedided on staying at a small motel for the night. So far, we have had no luck finding Eve. The motel barley costed anything, so I guess we'll have enough money if we need 食 または clothes または anything important.
I sat on my bed, starring at the T.V.
"Any reports on the missing family?"
"Sorry, Kelly, no one has seen them since they were at Harbur Lake."
So now we were the "missing" family.
I sighed and changed the channel. Dora, no. もっと見る news, no. Leap Year, no. There was nothing on to watch so I turned the T.V. off.
Janie was looking through her suitcase for...yeah, I don't know.
Percy and Carter had their own connected room. (This place is cheap...as I 発言しました before.)
I grabbed my pajamas out of my tote and went to the bathroom to change.
After that, I crawled into ベッド and fell asleep.
A dreamless sleep.
We had a quick breakfast, checked out, and then we went off to find Eve.
For a while, we wandered around.
"Let's head over there," Carter pointed towards the woods.
"Why?" Janie and I asked in unison.
"We could practice...and I have a good feeling about the woods."
Percy nodded, "Okay, but we'll have to go further back so we aren't heard. Just in case."
At first, I was battling Janie. I managed to give her a small gash on her arm.
My blade hit hers and swirled herself around to a defensive position.
"Really?"
"Yep," she answered lightly.
I lunged and she step sided.
I cursed under my breath.
"C'mon," She urged, "try and get me!"
"Don't taunt me," I smiled, "It wont turn out pretty."
After a while, we got hungry. We found a small ダイナー, 食堂 and ate there. Luckily, nothing attacked us.
"Okay, maybe we should try the underworld." I suggested.
"I 秒 that." Janie looked at me, "Eve will most likley be there. Something posessed her, so maybe-"
"Wait a minute!" Carter interupted, "You want to go to the underworld?"
"I guess." I responded.
He shook his head, "No."
"Yes."
Percy looked like he was deep in thought.
"We'll go to the underworld. Eve probably would be there."
"Maybe we should get Nico," Janie looked at Percy.
"I know the アンダーワールド pretty well," he said.
I sighed, "Maybe we should bring Nico." I didn't know him all that well, but he could come in handy.
Carter looked at me, "Why go through the trouble of getting him? He might be there."
"He might be there. That's why. The 'might' is what bugs me." Thinking about, he could be.
I studied Carter. His sandy hair was in his face, and his eyes showed he was worried.
"C'mon, if we go to the underworld, we might have a better chance at getting rid of that spirit."
Percy nodded, "But-"
"I don't like buts!"
"-that dust probably wont work in the underworld."
Janie cursed in Ancient Greek. "What do あなた mean?"
"Well," he said, "that dust wont work there because it vanishes things to the underworld."
"Wouldn't that mean her spirit would be in a different part though? Maybe even Taturturus." I asked.
"It would end up some where if we sprinkled it on her. But that some where might be one of us."
Again, with the "might."
"That's possible..." Janie sat down on the ground. "But if it does go to Tarturus, wouldn't it be stuck?"
Percy looked at her, "I think so, yeah."
"Well then, Percy, あなた know the way."
