Usually, they work harder given the genre. That's not to say comedic actors don't work hard...I think Kelsey Grammer & John Mahoney are two of the greatest comedic actors who definitely deserved their nominations.

They are two totally different things and hard for different reasons. Yes, I often think that dramatic actors are better, but it's generally just because we are forced to see them portray more emotion and such. But comedic timing is hard too. Both take a lot of talent in different ways.

Agreed. Also I think it's a lot harder to be a great at comedy than drama. Just because you have to show more emotions in a drama scene doesn't make you better
