^I think that she is, indeed, female without question or doubt. I honestly don't understand why she was suspected to be male in the first place. First of all, let's go over details.

Hanji is illustrated with delicate eyelashes, and the detail put into them is not seen on any of the series' male characters, if you look closely and compare. link

Hanji also has visible breasts in both the anime and the manga. She is displayed with a build more similar to the other females in the series, rather than our males. (not counting Levi and his arguably femininely-built lower body. We all know Levi is a man.) Also note that she is not over average weight. Her figure can still be defined as feminine, even though the build is a bit more muscular for a female; however, females with that build aren't nonexistent. link

I know I seem like a perv for checking, but there is also a difference when you look at the crotch areas.

Hanji isn't referred to with any gender pronouns throughout the series (unless Eren's referring to her as 'Miss' Hanji isn't just something choosy on the translators' part.). She is on the Wiki, but Wikis are run by fans, and it was probably a measure to avoid an uproar among browsers, as most are in favor of the theory of Hanji being a female. Even the creator would rather not mention, probably for similar reasons, but we can't read his mind and know which side he is coming from.

All in all, with no real confirmation, I still think that there is enough physical evidence of her gender.
