Shadow will always be awesome to me....but I hate the way SEGA made him seem so evil

Like he's always mad about something, like he's NEVER happy. I know he ロスト both Maria & Molly, but that doesn't mean he has to seem evil--Shadow is not evil. Yeah, when people first saw him, he may have looked mean but he wasn't. That's not fair to make him seem evil--Shadow's my お気に入り character. My お気に入り Colors（色） are red and black (go figure lol)
Why did they have to make the one Sonic character I like the most seem evil? It just bothers me for some reason.
