No. Most people have their determined goals, but sometimes they may not meet their expectations.

I have a middle ground stance on this.

Destiny brings あなた to people and situations. It is your character that decides what あなた make of it.

I like that idea because whether we believe in fate または not, whether it’s real または not, we’re left with the end result being in our own hands. In that case we’ll work to accomplish our goals and either it will pay off, (if we control our fate), または we’ll be doing good behaviours that improve ourselves and hopefully the world around us, even if we didn’t need to.

There’s no downside to trying to be our best self.
