Yes, sometimes I have moments when I realize just how strange a word is spelled, even though I've been spelling it correctly for years, so it's もっと見る of an epiphany than a "wait I've been spelling something wrong this whole time?" kind of deal (I actually 愛 spelling so I'm generally very good at it lol. Spelling is love, spelling is life). I've had similar incidents with names, too. Not for the spelling but for the realization that names are quite weird. Like あなた just attach a word to a person または other animal and through constant use あなた come to associate that person または animal with the specific word, but words are man-made and technically every name ever invented is strange, even the ones you're familiar with. Just.... names. I really think this feeling is connected with the ランダム spelling. あなた become so accustomed to spelling words that あなた forget how strange the invention of letters and consequently the sequence of letters even is until あなた realize, "Wait, sign is spelled s-i-g-n. And long is spelled l-o-n-g... and hair is spelled h-a-i-r... Huh. Words."

I'm pretty sure I'm not even explaining myself properly so I'll stop right here.

And now that I've 発言しました "spelling" so many times it's beginning to sound もっと見る like an abstract thought than an everyday word. WORDS.

Not really honestly. I used to be quite a dictionary nerd so that kind of realization doesn't happen for me.

Even with me 読書 the dictionary, a word like "alibi" got me lol. I was like "SINCE WHEN!?". I need to start 読書 the dictionary again though, I've been slacking on my vocabulary as of lately. It's honestly quite nice to know someone that does the same.

I have had those times when my brain goes 'welp, now I`ll turn off for a sec if u don`t mind' and then I can stare at a perfectly written word and wonder if it really was spelled like that. To enhance how dumb it can get, I once stared at 'you', thinking that maybe it is spelled 'yu'. 😒

If it helps any, I was looking at the word 'sclera' and thought it was actually spelled "scalera", despite knowing how to spell the freakin word already
