If あなた avoid talking to your フレンズ for months または weeks, does it make あなた a bad friend/person?

This has been troubling me an awful lot and I want to get it solved and settled.

If あなた had for example a good number of フレンズ online または reality and あなた never get to talk または communicate with them for weeks または months due to unfortunate events または because あなた don't want to be a creeper, stalker, annoyance, etc. does it または does it not make あなた a bad person/friend?
