They are your true フレンズ when they will do anything to make sure あなた are okay. they are the ones that are always there for あなた not just during your high times but those times when あなた get knocked to your knees and their there to help あなた right back up again thats how あなた can tell if someone is truly your friend
Honestly I don't believe in true friends. あなた can't always trust them または they won't always be there when あなた need them. I am not saying there are no フレンズ because i have really good friends. But let me give u an example when ur friend has a boyfriend they will leave to be with them and they forget about u. または they will also be jealous of what u have and thet is not a good friend. There are alot of small little things that ur フレンズ will make that doesn't make them a true friend. I can think of alot but i am too lazy to write all of them. Also there always getting mad and leaving u. There are good フレンズ but no true フレンズ that will always be there for u.

When no matter what あなた do to them they are always ready to help you, when あなた slam the door in their face and they stay outside till あなた open the door again. あなた know they're your friend when they comfort あなた through what seems like the worst time of your life, they're the one person who knows when your hurting または when somethings wrong with just one quick look または even just text. あなた know あなた have a real friend when after all the wrong and tears あなた may have braught to their eyes, they still will forgive and 愛 you.
A friend never steals your boyfriend/girlfriend. They always listen to what ever crap あなた say (pretend to at least) They are always there for you. Offer to go beat anyone who hurts you. あなた want to see them and they look フォワード, 前進, 楽しみにして to seeing you. あなた have a connection, あなた just get on very well with them. They give あなた アドバイス and hugs. They pay for あなた to get into the cinema (me xD) They let あなた borrow your clothes. あなた feel protective of them and vice versa. あなた 愛 them!!!! (friendly way)
