Can someone explain a Middle American accent?

Okay, so 2 years 前 when I was 12 me and my family went to Mississippi for a Family Reunion. This country lady that turned out to be stalking my mom, sister, and me (long story >.>) 発言しました I had a nice accent. So I was thinking about that today and I looked up "what are some types of accents in America?" One of them were Middle American. I live in the middle region of America, so maybe I do have an accent. :\ Can someone explain what it sounds like to me?
