Can あなた figure out where the poison is?

On a hot summer 日 Detective Thompson finds a man dead in a room locked from the inside. After an autopsy, he was proved to be killed によって poison. In the locked room, there was a cup of cola and a half cup of water. After examination of the beverages, the cola contained 20% poison, and the cup of water contained 100% poison. It was evident that someone had sneaked into his room before he came back from work and put the poison.

Detective Thompson hasn't found the killer yet, but he already figured it out where the murderer put the poison. Where is it?

So that's the answer. It makes complete sense. The poison is a liquid so therefore it can be frozen.

It seems to me that the murderer put the poison in a cooler. もっと見る specifically in the ice in the cooler. It's summer. Alot of people would have sodas and water in coolers. The murderer put the poison in the クーラー and the ice was contaminated with poison. When the man got a drink of water, he probably took the ice from the クーラー to make the cup of water cold. When he did that he took the poison along with it.

Very close! あなた missed just a little detail: the glass containing the water actually had the poisoned ice cubes in it, it contained no water. Sometimes, people put the ice cubes and the soda in different glasses and simply add an ice cube when needed. He added a few ice cubes, drank the soda and died. After his death, the ice cubes melted into the poison.
